Old Norse Poetry in Performance will be at the University of Oxford (26-27 October 2026) for its fourth international conference: a dynamic interdisciplinary forum bringing together scholars, artists, performers, and musicians. This year emphasises audience-oriented approaches: how can medieval Norse texts be reactivated, translated, and reimagined for today's publics?

Featuring academic sessions, live performances (including interpretations of classical Norse works), and practice-based demonstrations exploring text, voice, embodiment, and material culture. Join for innovative engagement with Old Norse poetry and its contemporary resonance.
